From the Betty Crocker Cookbook


1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs


  1. Heat oven to 375°.
  2. Mix margarine and cream cheese.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  4. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet or onto parchment paper.
  5. Bake until almost no indentation remains when touched, 8-10 minutes.
  6. Remove immediately from cookie sheet and cool.

Makes approximately 6 dozen cookies.
