From Mom C.


3 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine, softened to room temperature
1/3 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
a few drops almond extrrct


  1. Cook flour and milk over low heat stirring almost constantly until very thick then set aside to cool.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients for 5 minutes until smooth
  3. Add milk/flour mixture and beat until smooth.
  4. Add cocoa for chocolate frosting.

Goes great with Mom’s Easy Chocolate Cake!
